Yoga mats are notoriously bad for the environment. They are made out of plastic with no way to keep them out of the landfill. Even yoga mats made with natural rubber may be coated with polyurethane. This makes the yoga mat non-biodegradable and bad for the environment. Fortunately, I found a company that makes closed-loop yoga mats, Suga.
Suga takes old worn out wetsuits, keeping them out of the landfill, and turns them into amazing yoga mats. They even take back your worn out Suga mat and recycle it into a new one.
I am in love with my yoga mat. It's made my weekly yoga practice so much better. I sweat, but I don't slip. My wrists and knees can't feel the floor. And I know it's good for the planet. Can I get a Namaste?!
